Hey John, nice fish in Florida...

As for the crawfish, it is safe to say they are banned...they are the #1 carrier for the mussel...

Anyway, I hope you and your father are doing good...I'm still working on everything...

See you on the water.

hey dave,

Everythings good, except I broke my right hand for xmas lol So im out for 4-6 weeks. haven't fished in a while last time was in florida. Killed the peacock bass and LMB on swimbaits :D it was a blast

Its better off if the crawdads are banned, the poachers & newbies wont kill all our big bass.

Good luck on the tourney see you at the weigh-in ;)

The fearsome mud bug, crawpappy, ditch lobster will most likely be making a comeback at a Lake Casitas near you.( remember- u heard it unofficially). They are raised in places the Q mussel isn't found......

With any luck we should get through the pre spawn before the crayfish ban is lifted. Would be nice if crayfish (crawdads) and all live bait are banned throughout SoCal lakes. The guides would cry and the bass population would be better off.

I hope the ban is lifted. I may not fish with dad's but I know a lot who do. Including kids who are first learning.

After this post started, I started paying attention when I went through the gate and when they did thier inspection for the last 3 days...

No where did it say crawfish were banned but everyone thier said they were. Also, they weren't looking for them or asking if I had them..

So...who knows but if you want to fish them...go for it...

As for the lake since the rain...it came up about 2 feet and has alot of trash floating in the water...DeepCat is a dark brown and trash floating everywhere...also the lake planted 150 christmas trees...not very well I must say...most of them are floating in different areas...

See you on the water
