Crawford knot

Post by aNNieNsaLTIE »

I was reading some old reports and came across Paul Jensen commenting on the Crawford knot.

I looked it up and tried it, "seems pretty strong and simple".

Anyone use it. I though it looked a little weak so i doubled the line and seems good to.

any opinions?

Is this a mono knot only?

Looks like a cool knot, crossing lines instead of wrapping around the standing line.

An aside, I wonder how many knots used for boating/sailing would have any use for fishing applications (Anchor Bend, Bowline, etc.)?
