St Croix Rod Warranty?

Post by Corn »

Hey guys,

I've always liked the expeditor service for my Loomis rods. I'm now considering getting a St Croix Legend Elite rod. Do they have a similar warranty? Like, can I pay a few bucks to have the rod replaced if I break it out of stupidity? I know there have to be a few owners out there. Thanks.

Lifetime warranty on that rod. The only cost to you would be shipping. US mail charged me $10. Most other places will charge by the length, UPS wanted to charge $50. Any other questions let me know.

Thanks Mike. According to St Croix, the warranty does not cover normal wear, accident, misuse, neglect, fire, ... etc. Is this just a formality, or do you know people who have paid the shipping for a replacement after accidentally breaking it?

A buddy of mine snapped a foot off when his rod locker came down on it after the second fishing trip. It was shipped and a new one came back in a couple of weeks. I have broken one also, called them told them I broke it on accident. They said they would evaluate it, in a couple of weeks they sent me a knew one. Another nice thing is they are built here in the USA. They are friendly to talk to also.
