Crucial w/ tennessee handle...broken

Hi Dan,

I didn't see this area before so I am a half-day behind.

I mailed my broken crucial in today, just a few hours ago. It snapped about a foot and a half from the tip while setting the hook on a dropshot! It had a tennessee handle, but I have heard that they don't offer them anymore. It was a 6'-6" MH, and I don't remember how fast the tip was. I stated that I understood that they weren't made anymore, and that anything for replacement was ok. I had to bend and tie up the big first line guide in order for it to fit in the tube too, I hope they get that. My other Crucial broke too, but just inches from the tip. I broke it trying to shake a jig out of a bush, but since it was so close to the tip, I assumed that I did something to it. I had a new tip put on, but it just isn't the same rod. Have I ruined my chance of getting that rod replaced since I had a new tip installed??

Do you see the tennessee handle creating an issue taking months to resolve?

Doug the Tennessee handle is still available on the Crucial rod. You will receive the exact same model that you sent in for replacement.

As far as the other rod, did I void the warrenty by putting a new tip on it?

No not at all. Just include a letter stating you replaced the tip to finish out your fishing trip. We will replace the rod under warranty for you.

Dan, do I need to get the receipt? or can I just send it in?
Tackle warehouse provided the other receipt for me, thank goodness they keep records of us all !

We do not require a receipt for the Crucial rods.

I just sent my other Crucial down last monday. I tried to use it for a while but it just isn't the same being 4" shorter.

I didn't send the receipt down with it though, hopefully that wont be a problem?
