Question #1:
Could you please tell me the weight of some of the Curado models?
I am asking about the weight differences the 201 models, in model B, D, and E.
Thanks for your help.

Question # 2:
Do any of them have stronger braking ability with their drags?

Question #3:
I am also now considering getting a 301 model for use with swimboats. Is that a good idea, and would any of those letter series[B, D, or E} be better for that application than another?

Here are the weights of the reels:Wild Bill wrote:Question #1:

Curado 201B 8.5 ounces
Curado 201DHSV 9.8 ounces
Curado 201E7 7.6 ounces
The Curado D and E models have more drag pressure due to the larger gear and larger drag surface.Wild Bill wrote:..............

The Curado 301D or 301E will work perfectly for swimbaits. If you plan to use braided line then go with the E model. The E is slightly smoother with the additional bearing on the drive shaft.Wild Bill wrote: Question #3:

Thanks so very much !
I have the B series 201 currently in use on the swimbait rod, and it's been working fine in the 5/1 gearing for that application, but I keep hearing the 301 is the way to go.
