SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. —
People in the Delta area of Sacramento and Solano counties may have to deal with detours for several weeks because a pair of ferries are out of service and nightly bridge closures are scheduled.
Caltrans has created detours for commuters as bridge and ferry repairs are underway.
FERRIES OUT OF SERVICE
The Real McCoy Ferry II is out of service due to a structural failure in the hull. It will be out of service until late November, according to Caltrans. Caltrans classifies the Real McCoy II as an extension of Highway 84. It serves Ryer Island residents and visitors by crossing the Cache Slough to Rio Vista.
