Desert Storm Vs. WON Bass at Havasu

Post by DL »

What is the Poker Run going to do the lake tomorrow and sunday? Not sure if anyone pays attention to them but the 40' offshore boats have invaded Havi en mass....nothing like looking over your shoulder for the $500k, 120 mph rocket, when you're headed to your next spot.

How did WON pick the same date as the biggest poker run of the year?

Thats the only reason why I didnt go. I really wanted to, the fishing should be awesome, but I dont want to have to keep looking over my shoulder for some idiot screaming 100mph+ at me.

I read a report that had a CHP officer at Black Meadow clock one boat at 167mph  and he wasnt trolling...for bass anyway!

Windsor Beach ramp was closed at 8 a.m. because it was full.
The Laughlin run is this weekend as well.

They played poker today. Tomorrow the real fun starts, 2.5 mile straight away race on Sat. and 8 miler on Sunday.
The fastest rockets run 209 MPH, this is absolutly stupid running these boats on this lake with not only our bass event but all the spectator boats watching and last but not least the knuckel heads.
Coast Guard should have worked on this long before and just shut the complete lake off if at all possible.
I pray for no accidents of any kind..........MG

I had a friend who went to Oatman yesterday. He said it was packed with bikes.
I bet they make it to Havasu today as well.
He also told me the parade was awesome with those big boats.
