Discovery Bay Fishing
What would be the top 3 baits for Discovery Bay?
Re: Discovery Bay Fishing
1) dropshot, all of the earth tone robos work. 2) lucky craft stayce ripbait or rat-l-trap. 3) if you are feeling lucky and happen to see bass hovering(suspended under docks) a baitsmith or huddleston swimbait will get some big bites. I try to target funnel areas(current) in the warmer months and backs of coves with grass in the cooler months. Also throwing a jig more in the winter and working it all the way back to the boat. tight lines and good luck scott h.
BUZZBAITS IN FEBRUARY!@#$%^&*(
Re: Discovery Bay Fishing
I usually only fish there in the winter. I start by throwing a speedtrap or bomber down the rip rap heading from the channel towards the ramp. Then I take a jig or dropshot and look for deep water........
yes I said DEEP water, you just have to look.

Don't ask about my username, all I need to say is check yours and check them often.

Re: Discovery Bay Fishing
How about five.
Low light, Spook or Sammy first.
Spinnerbait around all the docks.
Senkos, Senkos..
Important to hit all the shaded areas.
And I always have a jig tied on to hit the same key spots. A frog is always ready now too.
Good luck,
Kap

You cant fix stupid, but you can vote it out...
Re: Discovery Bay Fishing
This time of year I like the Shell Cracker fished real slow along the sides of the docks...right Punker???
Re: Discovery Bay Fishing
The BBZ-1 in fast sinking and very slow reeling is also a great tactic....And you don't need to be right next to the docks.
With this current weather pattern - You might even wish to fish a Jig, a weighted split-tail Yamo or a split-shot 6" curly tail worm - or even a turd down the rockz~ and all the out the back end of the dockz.

You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

1. wacky senkos. 2. topwater bait. 3. jig. look for alot of stuff like dead tullies all clumped together in the little back area of the dock and flip into the very middle of it with the jig or wacky senko the outer edge of it. topwater anywhere there is open water
dont b a turkey
