The Front Ruuner is made by Norman lures. They may be out of production. They definitely will make a difference, espcially in clear water when fish are chasing bait. Try a google search for those places that still have them.

For feathered trailers try making them yourself, it's not that hard. Go to a fly tying shop for supplies and the folks there can show you how to tie the thread. You will invest a little in supplies to begin with, but you will get satisfaction from doing it yourself and you can tie and sell some to recoup your investment.

An easy feathered trailer is some fine mylar, and do it like a Chug Bug. The Bug has a kinda crude one, but you can make it finer, longer, tie it on or just use surgical tubing.

Its not hard to come up with something that looks sharp.

Owner also offered nice tied feather trebles, not sure if they still do.

Mike, if you find someone who ties good feathered trebles, please post the info. I usually buy the Owner feathered trebles but the largest size they're available is a number 2. I need bigger ones like 1, 1/0 and 2/0 for topwater striper plugs...

The "front runner" on True Bass looked like a smaller sized Sammy (or similar looking lure) with the rear hook removed. There's an actual lure called a Front Runner made for that exact purpose though.
