Finally done and on its way!

Post by Greg_Cornish »

I flew back to Minnesota to take possesion on the 6th of Nov. I drove it for three days and put it on a transport out here. You can't believe how thrilled I am. I've been wanting a van for 38 years. FINALLY!!!

That's an awesome rig. Looks like they know how to build them to cover every need. Congrats and put a nice shotgun rack in there.

These are old friends of mine who I kinda helped get into the business as they helped me. The are a full fledged re-fabrication shop for handicapped vehicles. The last time I was in their shop in 1980 the were just running carpet up the walls and putting lifts and hand controls in. You had to figure out how to get into the seat.

This trip I got a tour. Holy crap. On the mini vans they remove the interior down to the bare walls and wiring, precision cut out the entire floor and weld their new pan in 6 inches lower. They then install their kneeling kits and ramps and swivel seats. They also work on full size vans. They have a complete body and welding shop plus upholstery shop. They are the second largest in the country.

You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

That is some impressive technology and interesting how many movements are needed to make it work. Must make life a lot easier. Glad you spent the cash.
