If there is one positive to this, it is that the fishing is very good. I've seen things the past few days that don't always happen. The lack of fishing pressure has made fish act silly. I am talking about groups of six or seven bass swimming right next to the boat and biting the bait the minute it drops to the bottom. They are not scared at all.
Plus, they are so close to spawning so they are even more aggressive, You can see how well they are eating the frog, too.

Yesterday I was catching them all in water less than two feet of water like these pockets shown on the map.

Even though the water was shallow and crystal clear, they were still eating moving baits. It kind of goes against everything you think, but you could see them racing out for a chatterbait from several feet away. It was awesome watching them eat it right in front of you.
I didn't catch any giants, but several three to four pounders like this one here.

The lack of fishing has really pent everyone up and the lakes are packed. I've been during the week and it is more like a holiday weekend. The good news is everyone is enjoying the nicer weather and getting out on the water after an extended break in the action.
