Folsom lake launching
so can watercraft that do not need the launch ramp launch at a facility other than Browns Ravine? It seems like a great time to launch a Pontoon boat or canoe at Rattlesnake since fewer boats can get there quickly.....

You can do whatever you want at Folsom Lake depending what rangers are around. Some of the rangers have the blinders on and don't want to do any paperwork but watch out for the ones on a power trip wanting to throw the book at you. I was told NO shore launching anywhere by a ranger at granite bay on friday and on saturday watched people try to launch there boats from shore next to the low water ramp. HELLO if the ramp is closed and no shore launching why do they let them in at the gate? I would say shore launching at rattlesnake is ok with small boats if people use common sense.
