FORMER MODESTO CASTMASTERS!!!
FORMER MODESTO CASTMASTERS!!!
I know there are some of you out there that read this forum....Hopefully all is well with you and your families, and you're still wetting a line now and then. You probably remember how important a "Club Open" is to a club, so how about if we put the heat on and get as many of the former members as we can to fish our tournament this year. We're expecting a good turn-out already. With most of the Motherlode regions starting at McClure, most everyone is already pre-fishing this pond anyway, and with your participation this could help us exceed our expectations.
Naming Names- Bingham, Borges, Coelho, Couchman, Doubledee, Eheler, Felix, Gray's, Handcock's, Handy, Hayes, Hoover, Langley, Lawler, Lemmings, Lindsey, Macias, Marquez, Mikkelson, Nunes, Shultz, Sexton, Urrutia... I'm sure I've left some off the list, so maybe Mr. Rod Martin can lend a hand with those that I missed. Remember ONCE A CASTMASTER ~ ALWAYS A CASTMASTER

Re: FORMER MODESTO CASTMASTERS!!!
I have an old list you got most of them , the rest a probley gone or still in the club. If you have a fax I'll send it to you.
Let me add up my penneys, I just spent all my money on the Bahamas[ to make my wife happy], Mexico [ to make me happy] and christmas in Fl, to make the grandkids happy. If there's any left and I can still find some one willing to fish with me, I'll try to show up.
Try Vince Borges, He got the deal of a lifetime on a boat, Maybe he'll want to show it off at the open

Re: FORMER MODESTO CASTMASTERS!!!
Rod, sounds like your livin' life good! With all that sun, you must have one heck of a tan for the middle of Nov. :shock:Hopefully you'll find enough pennies to come have some fun. So did Vince finally get John Marquez too just give him his boat? Is that the great deal? I'll have to call Vince and see what's up. If you still talk with Rick Hoover tell him I said hi, and I'm hoping he shows up. Maybe you and Willie can get together and fish.
Talk to you later, John

Re: FORMER MODESTO CASTMASTERS!!!
John,
I plan on being there, barring any un-forseen complications on my Dad's surgery on Friday, You all say a little prayer for him...so I can fish on Saturday....
Try: Trent Greer, Todd Hager (should be there), Jim & Bob Oliver, Steve Jones, Ron Burns for some real old timers that used to fish the club.....
Who won the TOC? What was the local?
Happy Thanksgiving,
Dan

Re: FORMER MODESTO CASTMASTERS!!!
Dan, I've been with the club for six years and the names that you mentioned don't ring a bell. They must be before my time. So if you still talk with any of them, please let them know about the tourney. Our toc was on the Delta. Richard Knigge and Jay Holliday won with 18+, except for myself everyone seemed to have a decent day of fishing. It's been over a week now and I'm still eating Humble Pie
Hope all goes well with your dad. Happy Holidays to you and your family. John
