Ghost TM and HDS menu options

On my HDS carbon Trolling menu, I have options for return, circle, spiral, zigzag etc. How or why would you wantto spiral, or zigzag, or square? I could see if you want to evade submarines. Does anybody use the options?

On my Kokanee boat I used to use this features to auto pilot an area where the bite was happening to stay on them

They give you those options for guys who troll for Kokanee, trout, walleye, lake trout so lures are out of the path.
