Yes The Phenix X-10 reveiw is impressive, Great control for those baits.

I only have experience with one "glass" rod and that is the Lamiglas XCF705 M/H 7' 1/4 - 1oz. It's awesome! I don't know the weights of those small jerkbaits but I can throw 1/4oz speed traps pretty well. The tip on this rod loads up really well and when you hook up with a fish it's like butter. Flat out silky smooth.

i would go with the powell 703cb glass. This is very light rod and you can't ever go wrong with a powell there one of the best rods ever made. The 703 retails for 139.99

The s stands for spinning modle. Also here is a link to Tackle tours review of the rod: http://tackletour.com/reviewphenixx10.html

Yeah what Vince said, especially the part about the Spinning Model.. It will work great for small jerkbaits..

Gary Dobyns just came out with a composite rod with both carbon fiber and glass reports are that they are awesome!! I have last years Dobyns 684cb and I love it great for smaller jerkbaits cranks and topwaters :D

I would give the new Dobyns 705CB a look if you have any dealers in your area

Wel if you aren't looking to buy a expensive rod but want something decent i use a St Croix glass rod for my pointers it works great i throw 10-14# floro and use a high speed curado so i can let it rip. I have been experimenting with a 6'8" avid series graphite rod too and it is lighter in weight so sometimes i perfer it over the glass. Whatever you choose let us know.
