Since I'm paralyzed from the chest down, I have a phobia about pinning it through my nipples and not knowing it, so I never wear it.

The law was instituted by Sacramento during the budget short fall of the '80s, when Fish and Game positions were cut and no additional wardens were hired. The enforcement of Fish and Game regulations were then placed upon the remaining Game Wardens and local law enforcement agencies.

To assist those agencies, Sacramento institued the provision the license was to be visibly displayed above the waist to assist those agencies more easily determine who was legally fishing and who was unlicensed and breaking the law. I'd like to think we all hate poachers, but yet there's belly achin' over a mechanism to help stop it.

Good thing we SPORTSMEN have the FREEDOM of choice....... Wear your license license or have it in possession and no hassles. Don't wear it or have it in your posssesion and you accept the consequences of that choice.........

My license will be around my neck with my clippers.
