Post by BShafer »

How long ago did it flood? I can't find any info on it shows Frank flooding in 1937 and 1938.

What type of orchard was there?

Little Manderville flooded sometime in the Late 80's or early 90's. It was a Duck & Pheasant Club. West end was corn and Chip corn and the east end was duck ponds. All around the property is a small ditch (where you see the remains of trees. This was for irrigation and to get around the ponds in small skiff. Theres a 14-16ft Pond near center on the east side.

Their were a group of Italians that owned it and sold it to Joe Andronico's (Market in SF and Berkeley). I don't know who know owns it. They still hunt ducks there so becareful during duck season.

Rich- is Gina Andronico still around ??
You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Just the info I was looking for to obtain a better understanding of the lay out in side the Island. I spent most of the Day there on the 3rd trying to get an idea of what the lay out was. This type of response is what makes this board outstanding.
