Hotel inquiry for Ladds

Post by BassinDan »

I'll be staying in Stockton for 3 nights for a tournament out of Ladds. I have never been there and was hoping I could get some advice on where to stay. Interested in good security, proximity to the marina and the ability to charge the batteries. Thanks in advance.

Half of the people that are gonna tell you to not stay in town don't even live in Stockton. I live here and while certain parts of town suck a good portion of it are just fine. You could stay at the courtyard on brook side rd an march lane which is a few blocks from the ramp I've even seen guys stay at the quality in which is just a few blocks further before. Or if your real paranoid you could stay in Oakley and launch out of Russos and just run to ladds it's a short run. Just use common sense here just like anywhere else you go, lock all lockers and don't leave anything in plain sight and you'll be just fine.

I have stayed at the Courtyard before and kept the boat in a slip at Ladds. Slip was covered with power for $15. Access to the slip is locked unless you have a key card (which they give you of course). Best option for me.

I have stayed at the extended stay on March Avenue. That is a decent area so you should be fine. I always put the cover on and remove the HDS units.
