John, I don't know a darn thing about Powell rods, but the turn-out for your little contest has made me curious... It's a testament to the product, the reps and the members of this forum... I just hope I get to win one... might make my Fenwicks feel out of date...

Well bud

Post by John Barron »

We'll have to make sure you try one. They are an awesome rod. If you see me on the lake somewhere stop me and I'll show you the rods and let you use one. The only rod in my boat is Powell except for my swim bait rod (Okuma) and only because Powell does not make one..........................yet. Rumor has it that a certain big fish angler is working on one. I'd tell you his name but you probably already now who it is.

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.

John, just wondering here; if 17.76 is the winning weight do you have a two piece to give away? :P
