I wanted to take a minute to post a very big THANKS to Frank and the gang at Inland Marine - you guys (and gal!) ROCK!
Aside from the Winter Nutcase trip to Berryessa in January, my boat hadn't been out this year until sTony and I took it out a few weeks ago. The boat ran great all day, and we put some miles on looking at different areas trying to get a pulse on what the bass were doing.
Coming back into the top of Frank's, it started to lose power and slowed to an idle, and the engine was idling extremely rough and just died when I tried to give it some gas. We idled in to Russo's and pulled out.
I had a very busy work week and was unable to get the boat in until the following Friday. I was hoping it was something simple like a blocked fuel filter (yeah, right!). Frank called on Monday to let me know my poor Merc had blown the compressor, which is something that typically happens at 400-500 hours. Unfortunately I only have 250 hours on the motor - just my luck I suppose. I told him I really needed the boat back for the weekend, as I had to at least get one day prefish so that I wouldn't be completely clueless for the Nutcase.
Frank was able to rush the parts and give my boat some priority to get it repaired and back to me in time to get on the water that weekend - awesome service from some awesome people!
THANK YOU FRANK - it certainly is appreciated!!!
Roger
