Do you guys prefer 7.1 (30 IPT) or 6.3 (26 IPT) for casting and pitching jigs and soft plastics?

IPT is inches per turn, so how many inches a reel will bring in with one turn of the handle. It's more accurate than gear ratio because there are variances between reels. Some 6.3 reels have 26 IPT while others have 28 IPT.

Faster's always better, unless you're crankin'!

Not like it is on the salt, where low-speed is king most of the time.
