Great baits. Ganns has been around for over 20 years, now owned by Mark Hiser. Hiser is a quality nut and only uses the best brands, like Gamakatsu or Sampo. Can't go wrong here.

i used to own Ganns ... so i know how good the lures are... but...
since Mark Hiser bought the company , he has enhanced the lure line-up... namely , the addition of the Hummer jig... what a verstile jig !
although i throw the Draggin jig the most , i always carry some Hummers.. especillay at Clear Lake...
good fishing everyone ........................ john gann

Ganns Jigs quite honestly rock and are second to none. Hiser uses the highest quality components out there and his color combo's are sweet! Be sure and check out the Blades, chatter type baits, spoons etc..they will all catch 'em!!!!!

All this talk of swim jigs lately.... I've been using the Gann's Flipping jig for that for a while. That thing is unreal for weedy bottoms... it comes through anything, and can you say 6/0 hook??? Think positive hook ups! And the sunfish pattern in a 3/8 or 1/2 oz Hummer jig is money with uncle josh Phantom green pumpkin pork... just sayin'!

Great jigs and spinnerbaits Mark! It's great to see these getting into most of the best places to shop for the stuff we like to collect. The thing about these are they will get used alot instead of just taking up room in the boat. Great idea for a jig! Everyone drags some of the time, even Gary...

I always told Gary D. that jigs were good!

Post by Larry Hemphill »

As I got to know Gary Dobyns after moving to Yuba City, I was able to admire his tournament success as I was gaining success as a guide during the 80's. I eventually talked him into team teaching with me at my huge Sacramento and Yuba City bass classes. I told him that we were the perfect pair to cover all of bass fishing since he was the "run and gun" ripbait and spinnerbait angler and I was the "slow and boring" jig anger - (his words)!!

I think I might have introduced him to the strength of a jig bite in the winter. We wanted to fish together before the classes started in late January. We fished Oroville on a very cold winter day in mid-January. He threw his ripbaits most of the day, hooking 3 or 4 but losing them as they weren't very aggressive. I threw jigs all day and had several bites while landing 4 between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 lbs. One the way home I told him "you should TRY jigs - they are really good in cold water!" His response was not printable! Just kidding - not that bad! I do think jigs were probably on his mind as he went to sleep. And now he makes them???
