Jig n pig: Cold water only, or all year round?

I read Cooch's article in the magazine but am Wondering what other dedicated jig guys think.

The real answer ? for me it is (idk now that super pork is gone) but winter - early summer -pork In the summer or when i am cycling baits, ie not on a strong jig bite, i use plastic as it doesn't dry up, but may cycle through pork, if they like the pork better I give em what they want. But i have been known to be on a good summer jig bite and have pork on- its all situational for me.

All depends upon the lake for me. We've used pork in the summer in the desert!

pork works year round. Just harder to fish in the summer cause it dries out fast.
just shut up and fish
