Jig skirt restore ???How do I..

What's up guys/gals , I know this subject has been here before , but I didn't need it then :lol: :lol: . Ha , Ha . There was a thread about restoring old plastics etc..I 'm trying ta restore a bunch of old jigs I recently found at the bottom of the boat :? . Don't wanna toss'em .Any advice appreciated , or if anyone has the link ta the thread , I searched - no good.Thanks in advance ,

Soaking em in Linseed or Olive oil works great on old rubber skirts. Then some steel wool and a fine file to remove the rust and sharpen the points! A grinder with a wire brush works well too and is a lot easier!

Cooch I tried the same thing. I should have thought this one out. Note: when wheel grinder grab's hot hook and staples welding glove to thumb, avoid descriptive language that ends in cooch. Wife wacked me with a broom for cussin. Now my thumb and head are sore. :(

Its best to use Greek Olive oil, nothing is better. It can also be used for cooking. But what ever you do don't buy Italian Olive oil, its common knowledge the Italians don't make the best olive oil...isn't that right Cooch :lol:
