Jitterbug Hooks

Are the factory trebles on the Jitterbug #1 or #2? I would also like to add a split ring to the factory mounts to make it easier to replace the hooks, but this would defeat the purpose of the stops that prevent the hooks from fouling each other. Which way would you go?

I put a split ring on the back hook only, and they don't foul. I used #2 Gamakatsu round bend hooks when I replaced the hooks.
