FYI, this is what I received from Boxer and Feinstein today. Hopefully this doesn't invalidate or diminish any of our efforts here - I don't believe it does at all. I only bring it up as I have had direct e-mail coorespondence with each Senator in the past, I never received an automated mail like this. To be complete I may just write an e-mail to the location each of them notes to hammer home my concerns over this issue.

----------------------------

Dear Mr. [deleted]:

Thank you for contacting me. I appreciate your e-mail and welcome the opportunity to correspond with my constituents.

Unfortunately, due to the volume of mail I receive, I cannot respond individually to messages sent from third parties or websites other than my official Senate website. If you wish to send a personalized message via the internet, please use the e-mail form on my website:
http://feinstein.senate.gov/email.html. Please know that my staff will tally your input today.

If you prefer to fax your concerns to me, you can send them to my Washington office at (202) 228-3954. You can also call my Washington office or one of my California offices to share your thoughts with me:

Washington, DC: (202) 224-3841
San Francisco: (415) 393-0707
Fresno: (559) 485-7430
Los Angeles: (310) 914-7300
San Diego: (619) 231-9712

Again, thank you for e-mailing me. Please know that every time you write a letter, send an e-mail or fax, or call my office, your concerns are taken into account. I appreciate your understanding in this matter and hope to hear from you again soon.

Sincerely yours,

Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator

This was a post on coastsidefishingclub, nice job nutcases it's working!

Coastside Fishing Club, you are amazing. The American Sportfishing Association and Coastside Fishing Club E-mail campaign to Carlos Gutierrez of the Department of Commerce and a copy to the White House had over 4,000 letters sent this weekend. It is results like this that can turn things around.

Coastside and American Sportfishing Association working together can do great things and turn the tide in our favor.

Great Job Coastside, keep up the good work.

That's great news that it is getting noticed. I just did one for my wife, mother, father and son (with their permission of course). That makes 8 total from our end. E-mail addresses are a great tool when used right.
