Katrina needs back seater for Hook Tournament

Post by BASSK9 »

My good friend Katrina DeHaven would like to fish the Hook tourney Sunday and needs a non boater to share the fun. Her cell is 480 332 5848. She runs a 20' Triton and is a great person to share a day with.
Hanging out with Luke the Lab and Bass fishing. Astrophysics, Astrophotography, Sumarian Mythology, Astronomy, Searching for NEO's , DOGON and Sirius mystery, Gravitational research project.

She's a doll. Met her briefly at the Clearlake Bassmaster Oct Derby after she won the Triton tourney. Upbeat and fun and funny.

No, she only does that when she catches the BB of the tourney and wins a boat. :D

Mike, now that was funny. I dont know if it was the break dance or breaking the rod, but that was funny. BTW Greg I dont think she won a boat, only the tourney, and with Mr Taylor as the Pilot.

So if she has won a boat as Greg says above in his post . How does she qualify to fish the hook?

I think I could be wrong on that. I remember she got in an accident on her way home from that tournament and I think wrecked her Auto and boat. I'm looking around on the net and see no mention of her winning a boat. In fact I'm now sure she did not win a boat.

"Katrina Dehaven and Seig Taylor take home first Western Triton Owners Tournament at Clear Lake

When the scales closed on the first ever Western Triton Owners Tournament on beautiful Clear Lake the team of Katrina Dehaven and Seig Taylor topped the field of 96 teams with 45.60 to take the top honors and the $5000 first place check.Katrina picked up a another $1000 for the tournament's biggest bass a 9.44 pound largemouth.Dehaven caught that fish on 6lb line and her partner Taylor told her it was a catfish during the 5 minute fight and they only realized it was a bass as it was entering the net."

Hey now, she's a real sweet girl and loves to fish just like the rest of you nutcases. And she'll probably beat most of you on the water!

Correct me if I'm wrong, ( which I usually am ) But I thought the hook rules read that you can NOT have won more than $5,000. in the current or previous year to be able to Qualify to fish a Hook Tournament.

I loved the video, that much excitement is refreshing, even though it was a bit over the top for some. So many guys act like catching a fish (even that big) is routine and boring. NOT, a least I hope not.

I think she only won $3500 that year if she split it with Seig Taylor. If they split it, does she have to claim $5000 Or $2,500?

Yeh, some other guy won the boat.
