Late March is the time you can expect Berryessa to kick out some huge fish.
And with the FPT coming to Lake Berryessa on March 26th at Pleasure Cove Marina, and the weather continuing to warm up over the next two weeks, big fish should be a highlight of the event.
But no one knows this better than Ken Mah, who on Lake Berryessa, captured the 2021 Apex Pro Tour Championship on the strength of a plus 8-pounder he caught throwing a custom vibrating jig.
With this knowledge of the lake, Ken has set the Fisherman’s Warehouse “Big Fish” Cash Bonus mark for this event at 7.12 pounds!
What this means, simply put, is that whoever catches the biggest fish of the event - and that fish exceeds the "big fish mark" set by Ken, will receive the custom-built Lasher Elk Grove Big Fish trophy, plus an extra $300.00 – for a total of $500.00 in cash, courtesy of Fisherman’s Warehouse Mega-stores!
What's more is that if no-one hits the mark set by Ken in this event, this Fisherman's Warehouse Big Fish Bonus cash will be rolled over and added to the next FPT event!
100-boat field guarantees a $5,000 payday – WITHOUT ANY OPTIONS ADDED
The last Berryessa event saw the winners take home $6,000 on a 85-boat field, and the 2nd place team take home $3,000.
Please note that If this event draws over 100 teams the payout could be well over $7,000 for 1st Place!
Berryessa....Big Fish....Big Cash...are you ready?
