Lake Eastman

Planning a trip to Eastman next week. Was wondering if anyone has fished it lately. How's the water level and fish activity? Any comments welcome, besides fishing in the "no fishing area"

Camped there about three weeks ago. Water was very low. I bank fished with little kids, so I couldn't go too far. Banks where I was were very shallow due to low water. Caught a few little ones dragging plastics. Didn't talk to anyone in boats.

I fished there last week, ditto what Tony said.....water is low, only fish I caught were on senkos with the largest being 1.5. One boater I spoke with confirmed nothing but little ones ! ( he said water temp was 72 degrees I'm not so sure about that though because the bass I caught were cold, cold , cold ! )

I fished there with the old man and uncle twice in the past month. Only dinks. Read the Fresno Bee report, there was a tourny held last weekend, big fish was 2.5lbs and 6lbs+ won it!! Hoping its a late spawn year and not something worst.

I fished it last week myself and have always loved this lake. I may not hit it again this year. It's that bad. The water level for this time of year is terrible and the water clarity maybe the worst I've seen it (for this time of year). Oh and the bite was horrible too. It took me until noon to finally get a limit of "dinks". Another long summer ahead of us. To late to pray for rain now.

Thanks for the updates. Sad to see this lake in this condition. I had many great days on this lake and hate to think that those days may be over. I will let everyone know how my trip goes.
