Cmon man. He posted a pic getting towed in, didn’t use it as an excuse in any way. That’s just part of the game.

Stop hating.

Ok lol. It’s “only fishing” yet you’re on here throwing shade at a guy who broke down the first day of a major tournament. You act like new motors don’t blow or have unforeseen issues. SMH.

He just fished a 3 day tournament no problem And to prevent the problem he has now he should have had the boat at shop that Monday to do a maintenance check up to be sure nothing was going to fail with this big tournament. he fishing today. With big tournaments back to back I'm sure the boat mechanics would have jump right on it. To find any problem and excuses don't work in fishing by the way. No matter who you are. And I'm not busting his chops but I bet he'll do the maintenance now before the next big tournament.
He a sponsored pro. It a freebie getting a maintenance check.

Haters gonna hate-
Not sure how u know everything. U obviously missed ur nap and taking it out on Ken. He’s at the top of his game and u don’t get that way by not doin maintenance. Everyone breaks down at some point! To say it’s from lack of maintenance is ignorant especially since u don’t even know the guy!
Take a nap /pop an antacid and have a great day!

Woooow! I would have to wonder if you have ever fished from a boat and have experienced the uncontrollable variables that can occur on the water like hitting lower unit on something on the main channel, or sucking something up in the water pump and overheating it. I would also wonder if you know Ken Mah because he is probably in the top two anglers of being prepared, organized and doing maintenance AND sharing with others about all three. AND last I would wonder what exactly was the purpose in your original post calling him out for zeroing on Day One and all the insinuation and accusation? just asking for a friend.

I'm not busting his chops I just ask a question
Why he 0.00 day 1 day 2 five and change day 3 0.00
More problems or did he use that day to work on a few things. I'm sure he very organized
You'll we get over it and move on. I have
I just don't keep up with pro fisherman here in Ca.
There not enough big pro tournaments here in ca. that are worth wild keeping up with. And yes I fish a lot and my Lure company keeps very busy.

He had a plastic piece that was lodged in his water system that caused the motor to overheat and shut down due to going into the guardian mode. It was inside his motor and they think it may have been something that was inside his motor just a one in a million thing.......His dealer C&C Marine was able to find it and fix the issue but Ken borrowed a boat for the next day.

Lot's of experts that seem to know more about motor maintenance around here than a guy that fishes full time and has won 5 major events in the past 22 months but the good thing is Ken is very assessable on several social media pages and even right here on Western Bass so you could ask him or offer your maintenance tips to him personally!!!!

Don't know you but I do know Ken Mah. You say you just asked a question and wasn't bagging on Ken. But that is exactly what you did! You asked a question and railed on him for not doing this or that to prevent a very unpreventable issue. I'd stick with making your jigs and not ripping on fisherman you don't hardly know anything about. If your not willing to accept an answer to your question and instead rip the answer apart stop asking questions... By the way you do make some great looking jigs there's no doubt...
