Life jacket of choice?

Looking to get a regular life vest instead of using SOSpenders, What are you guys using? Where is the best place to pick one up at?

I was thinking of buying a regular pfd myself a while back until I spoke with a guy that who races boats back east. He told me the standard jackets tend to flip you over face down in the water, not a good idea if you are unconscious.

I'm keeping my auto inflatable.

I use a kayak vest made by ExtraSport..... it's very comfy, hardly even know you have it on........the only downside is it's an ugly tangerine color but that doesn't bother me too much

I also use a Kayak stlye vest, they are light weight and according to the tags attached to it when I bought it, it will flip you over too. It is a great vest has some pockets and it has a bit of mesh on it to help keep you cool during the summer. I got mine at sportsmans warehouse in Rocklin for about $50. It is almost like not wearing one, in fact I have pulled my kill switch more than once just jumping up to go fishing when I get to a spot, just forget it is there!!

for sure a kayak vest. They are designed for a wide range of arm movement. and they come with pockets which can be nice.

Kokatat is the brand I am using.
