A LITTLE TO MUCH
Ive been looking at new boats lately and was looking in the boat trade site and came across a new 2010 FX 21 Skeeter with a 250 Yama duel counsel.I love Skeeter boats but I will not pay $75.430.00 for a boat. I think thats a little crazy tagging a boat that much aspeicily in this times.I guess ill what for good used FX later.

What's crazier is that some folks will actually pay that much for it...and love it! I'd wait a few years and try to get the 2011 year model used, it gives them a year to get complaints and then rework what they need to...so then you get a better product. That boat should come with the new Yamaha that is awsome...but the price tag is indeed high...

Re: A LITTLE TO MUCH
thiers another thing I noticed is some dealers are putting Mercs on Skeeters.I wonder how that happend?

You can put anything on anything. A question would be: Because the FX Series was designed around the SHO, how will the SHO perform on other hulls. I'm sure it will perform well but will it be AS significant on other hulls

Because selling a boat and a trailer for Skeeter is better than no sale at all. Still lots of dealers in the USA selling Merc's on Skeeters. Rick G.Skeeterman wrote:thiers another thing I noticed is some dealers are putting Mercs on Skeeters.I wonder how that happend?
Anglers Marine has been serving Southern California boaters and fishermen since 1981, with the West's largest bass fishing tackle store and the best boat dealership on the west coast.

I believe Ish is running one on his Ranger.
Fishing should be fun.

I agree with skeeterboy....I mean man, (hey Johnny) . That's the price of a new Hummer H2 and there's a whole lot more to building one of those. I agree that the new Yammies are cutting edge, but that price for a whole lot of fiberglass, wires, switches and hardware is just wrong. Most boat parts are off the shelf parts if you know where to look.

Re: A LITTLE TO MUCH
There are alternatives obviously, depending on that old price tag. My buddy just bought a Ranger 208, with the new SHO 225. Out the door was about 55k. I know, still a lot of dough, but not 75k. The 208 is essentially the 520 DX series boat hull.
