I have lowrance 510c. The last few times out when unit is turn on, it read an incorrect depth of 60', temp is correct. After awhile it will read correct depth within matter of minutes or not all. Would the problem be tranducer or unit ??
If transducer is the problem, what is replacement # ??

Re: Lowrance 510c
It's hard to say what the problem is for sure from your description. This would be one of those times when you should borrow a transducer that is known to work, plug it into your 510c and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then it's your transducer that is the problem. If the issue is still the same with a new ducer, then it's the unit itself. I would suspect that there is a problem with the unit since it does show the bottom at times.
A PD/WBL is the puck type ducer for the 510c or a HST/WSBL. These are the current transducers with the blue connectors. Make sure it is a 200 khz ducer.
