Lowrance side imaging issue

I have a gen 2 hds 12 with side imaging and the pictures comes in looking like the there’s lines across the screen. It look like it’s skipping the between pings. Is my transducer bad and if so is 3-1 transducer compatible with my uni? Thank you in advance
