Ok i've narrowed it down to these two. Which do you think would be better for the console. Interested in mapping and lopcating those wolf packs.
Thanks

I can't speak for the Garmin units but I can for the X15. I recommend the Lowrance. The detail you get from the 15 is incredible...you wont want another unit unless its one of the color or larger screen lowrances. The only downside of the X15 is that it's not compatible with the latest Navtronics map chips. You can use the older chip sets to get lake maps but it wont have all the details in the premium sets.

I just had Gene @ The Hook install a X15 on my 488vs and I love it! Tells you the tide all over the Delta at any time and any day. very detailed.

FYI the Garmin does the same thing with the tides.

I recommend this as well ... lowrance x-25c ... Cabelas has it on sale now for $800:

The X15 is an older unit ... the X25c is a big color unit. Because it's so big, it does burn a bit more juice. If you want something less, try a LMS-332C or a LMS334C ... smaller and cheaper ($600) color unit, but just as sharp!!
