Lss transducer not reading

At my council I have a through hull and an lss. I recently am unable to view side or down scan. Could my transducer have gone bad? I also don’t see where I’m able to select a channel? I don’t recall having to do that at my counsel before but I do up front. If I don’t see an option for another channel does that mean it’s not reading it? Can I plug in another transducer to confirm it reads it even if it’s not a side or down transducer to confirm it’s not my graph?
