There isn't a very big margin on Mac computers. Just come right out and ask them for educators discount. If they ask where, tell them its a fishing school for kids. You have kids right?

Actually when I bought my Mac, they offered the educators discount and I don't teach. Can't hurt to ask.

You might make a good deal when searching for Mac books on the official apple website. They offer used products as well (these are returned and repaired) at a very reasonable price. I'm sure you will find there the one you want to have. Plus: when considering the price of Apple notebooks 10 years ago, then nowadays you might make a good deal anyway!

Also a good option is to buy a new Mac from someeone who bought it and didn't like.. It is already "used" one and will be cheaper..
