I've had one for a couple of weeks and although I've yet to catch any significant fish with it, I'm convinced it's just a matter of time. A couple of the fish I have caught with it (nothing over 3.5) have absolutely crushed it. They were the kind of strikes that make your eyes dialate and your nostrils flare!
I've been throwing the original jitterbug bait successfully since I was a much younger man, so as soon as Matt released a swimbait with similar action I was all over it. The action on a slow, straight retrieve is awesome, but there is an infinite amount of variable retrieves someone can use.
This is absolutely a great combination of an old-school action combined with a high quality, jointed swimbait. If/when he gets around to offering it in black, I will be all over it for night/low-light conditions.
Another great bait by Mattlures.
Going back...waaaayy back.....to the wall......and it's GONE!!! Another homerun by Matt...!!!
Matt you nailed it. That thing is flat out bitchin'... My brother showed it to me on another site and I sat there both in awe and pissed I never thought of it
I have been a big fan of the og jitterbug cuz it brings the big ones to the boat. When I saw what you created, I said 'oh my god...' Around the lakes in SoCal that is gonna be a tuff mother to beat. In a dark color, when the sun sets, that is gonna be a slayer. Great job, and I can't wait to be an owner...
You mailed me one last thursday that's gonna be in my kids mailbox to meet me in Austin, Tx. Hopefully by thursday. I'll post pics when I catch one at Fayette county reservoir on it! Looking forward to opening up some stubborn Texas minds! (I did last year, hehehe...) Scott
