$2.5 million in grants to expand public boating access and combat golden mussels
CDFW has awarded $2.5 million in grants to expand public boating access and combat the spread of invasive golden mussels across the state.
Project Highlights:
- $1.3 million to fight golden mussels statewide
- Ramp replacement at Alviso Marina (Santa Clara County)
- New boating facility in Copco Valley on the revitalized Klamath River
- Upgrades at Arena Cove for Mendocino/Sonoma County boaters
- Launch ramp maintenance at Lake Casitas (Ventura County)
More Funding Available:
An additional $2 million in grants is available for FY 2026–2027 Boating Access Projects.
