Anyone have an ultrex? How is the steering compared to a cable control?

Got one a couple of months ago and love it, just as fast as cable.

It is still cable controlled. It also has the electronic steer for the god/spot lock

My concern is can you control without always having to look at the dial on top of the motor? With cable, I can memorize my foot position and this is how I know which direction it will go. Another way to explain this is when you fully push down on the toe of the pedal, the steering is pointing the furthest clockwise position (pointing to back of boat). pushing fully down on the heel of the pedal, then the steering will point the furthest counterclockwise position. Any movement between full heel or toe is linear (pedal horizontal position always points straight ahead).

sorry for the long explanation and thanks for the responses
