Re: Moving to the Delta OR Clear Lake
Todd if you come down this way I'll put you to Work
for a hour or two, I don't have the flit for the pool table but I could use your help getting it up and the slate on and the holes and etc done with the bee's wax that my other Dad gave me.
That way I could get the stuff off those walls so I could finish painting this room since I'm home anyways and I have put this off for a LONG time
H*ll I may even be able to go get the flit for the table and just get it all the way up

Re: Moving to the Delta OR Clear Lake
Nah, it was a busy weekend. Give me a call this afternoon, but make it before I go bowling bish!
I'd suggest building a scaffolding around the table for you, also, so you don't have to keep moving the steps around. HAR HAR HAR!

Re: Moving to the Delta OR Clear Lake
Todd,
I live in Vacaville, but I've owned a house on Clear Lake for 7 years now. Here's my take on the do's and don't's:
If you're on the water and you're in an area that is exposed to heavy wind or wave action, you will almost need to have a boat lift on your property. Failure to have this feature will not allow your to simply moor your boat dockside. Putting a boat lift in after you buy the property will run $40,000 minimum these days. Also, if the property is located on part of the lake that is ultra shallow, you will suffer from the negatives of low water, excessive algae build up and a place that you can only enjoy at specific times of the year and not year round. Lastly, be sure it is the place that suits your needs. If you buy it with the intention of adding or building etc, the lot should be big enough so that the County Building Dept. will allow you to accomplish those goals.
