Hey guys,
I've launched out of Russo's and crossed Franks Tract towards Holland Cut many times. However, now I want to head north-east towards Potato/Dissapoinment Sloughs. Are there any submerged hazards in Franks that I should be aware of if I were to cross Franks Tract (from Russo's northeast towards Potato Slough)? Thanks.
Navigating Across Franks Tract
Re: Navigating Across Franks Tract
Not positive, but I think there is a very shallow spot (sometimes out of water) out in the middle, but if you pay close attention, you can see it fairly easily. I've run across there many times without incident. Just be on the lookout!
Re: Navigating Across Franks Tract
There is a metal pipe sticking out of the water just north of the break in Franks coming out of Russo's. Its a shallow spot. You'll want to stay to the right and aviod getting too close to that pipe, especially around low tide. Its hard to see if you are going fast.

Re: Navigating Across Franks Tract
Thanks Tony. Those are the hazards that I'm not familiar with. Does that pipe stick out of the water at high tide too?
