I was trying to figure out the differences between the three versions of the Navionics chips. The Platinum version has 3D and satellite imagery but what is the difference between the Hotmaps Premium and the Marine and Lakes version? They are both listed at $99
It looks like Navionics is offering a buy one get one free offer until the end of May for the Marine and Lakes version but the only place I could find the information was on the Marine and Lakes webpage. http://www.navionics.com/marine_lakes/m ... sp?Lakes=1. Does anyone know if it applies to the Platinum version also?
Thanks, Frank
Navionics Premium, Platinum or Marine and Lakes???
Re: Navionics Premium, Platinum or Marine and Lakes???
Hi Frank, Tshombe Moore here with Navionics. The differences between HotMaps Premium and HotMaps Platinum are 3D, Panoramic Photos, & Top Down Satellite pictures and they are both for fresh water only (it does cover the Delta). The Marine [salt water] & Lakes [fresh] USA cover both salt & fresh water, however, it covers only the lakes in the state you choose & California is split into two parts...north & south. On the salt water side, it only goes out to the 3 mile state boundary line & after that there is NO data. The data in M & L is identical to Gold (the main salt water product) & HotMaps Premium. You may want to verify the pricing...it should be different. The BOGO only applies to the M & L.
