Len,

Are you looking for a plain or painted football head jig or one with a skirt?

Toad Thumper Bass Baits is a company in Waterford, CA that makes an excellent 1/2 ounce football head jig. It can be purchased with a Gamakatsu or red Mustad hook and it comes plain or painted and with or without a weed guard. They also make a hand tied football head jig. In addition, they also make a whole array of dart head jig heads and drop shot weights. Thier baits are tournament quality and have hooks so sharp that they hurt!!!

You can order directly from the company by calling them at (209) 605-2325 or via e-mail at toadthumperbassbaits@juno.com. When you order tell them that I referred you.

Look in the classified section, it might be a few pages back. Justin Nelson is pouring them. He will make them with Mustad or Gammi hooks. Great prices on them aswell. I think he will even paint them for a few extra bucks.

Sean,

Toad Thumper Bass Baits isn't a direct sponsor on this web site. However, they do support the users of this site by sponsoring and supporting many tournament circuits such as the Vineyard, Rookie, Mother Lode and Sierra Cascade circuits of WON Bass, Nor-Cal Bass, CABF tournaments, last year's Northern California Club Classic, the Modesto Castmaster's Winter Open Team tournament and the Nut Case Winter Classic held last December at Folsom Lake.

They are a small company in Waterford, CA. Their products are tournament grade and are available in many retail stores in that area, such as the Bait Barn or directly at toadthumperbassjigs@juno.com.

Toad Thumper!!!!

I have used Toad Thumper products for over a year, John Brasiel makes an excellent product and is a really nice person to boot. As Norval stated John supports the local bass fishing community at large. Maybe some of the direct sponsers should consider stocking his products?

Phil,

Sorry I forgot to mention that your store stocks Toad Thumper Bass Bait products too.

Hopefully if anglers on their way to Don Pedro or McClure find themselves short of jig heads or weights they remember to stop by JIGS Tackle to pick up some Toad Thumper Bass Baits and all of the other tackle you have at the store.

Buying a lead poring pot, and your own hooks, and make your own. Its easy, and will save you a ton of money in the long run. You can buy what ever molds you need to make what ever you want. We all know that those football heads get stuck in them rocks. :D

I agree with G-Man, it's a one time investment then you can make them any time you want. You can buy hooks in bulk from the link below. I have Do-It molds and use Eagle Claw or Mustad myself but they sell different brands.
Pm me if you have any questions or decide to do it this way.
