o.k. i went out thiws morn to o'niel forebay and i got there right before sunrise and i seen the shad on top and stripers jumping, not alot but quite a few, so i thought thiwse is it,i am going to catch some stripers today..... i threw spooks and not even a hit,and then i threw my waxwing and nothing, i even changed colors on my spook, so what i need to know is am i doing something wrong? before when they were on top i would get at least a hit if not a limit....need advice or some help....thank you.........................

Frank......be patient.....it's still not working yet (the fish I mean )
my partner and i fished there on wed. am early.....fish were hitting the surface ....same result for us :evil: ....we threw spooks and punkers... no top water action.....water temps were between 62-66 I believe still too warm . last year our great action at o'neil began early november with water temps closer to 60 and below.....we did get a nice 21/2 lb largie and one "barely" 18 inch legal....both on 4 inch swimbaits.....keep trying it won't be too long. surfk9
