Be careful!
There are several black lights on the market now - Bass Pro Shops has 2 or 3. I believe the Stan Sloan that were so popular for years and have been on all my boats, are no longer made. I could be wrong - I know he just recently passed away. Just a word to you about running your boat at night. Don't go blazing around on lakes or areas that you don't know well - even in the moonlight. Most lakes are low and have MANY off-shore rockpiles, humps, islands that you might not see before it is too late. I'm serious. Please be cautious!!

For the prop ideas go to www.bassboatcentral.com they have a nitro board.
P.s. There's no fish in the river...

Re: night fishing
I usually use clamp on Mechanics lights with 25w or 50w 12 volt white light bulbs and I cut off the house plug and add clamps for the battery. Also you should cover the round silver mechanics light housing with clear plastic so water does not splash up on the hot bulbs and break them. On dark nights you can get away with the 25w bulbs it helps to light up the bank a little so you can see to cast. Black lights are good for lighting your flouescent blue line only and only on dark nights the moon makes it harder to see your line. Also don't forget to bring your rain gear because after 12:00 it can get very wet out there from the morning dew on everything. If you are running at night you should not exceed 10 mph and use a spot light. good luck and happy fishing.

I've gotten to the point nowadays, with fluorocarbon line, there is no need for the black lights. We go blind in the dark of the night! Night bite on the River is purty good right now!

Re: night fishing
i agree wtih Cooch...i fish at night with NO lights. The lights don't seem to make things much better and if you use the black light you need to florescent line to light up...its a mess. I just throw 20lb Maxima or 16lb Sugoi in the DARK and it works JUST fine!
