just by looking at the rig, I'd think you would rig it something like this...
Looking at the picture of the weight system, the right side with the extra bends would be inserted into the nose of the soft jerk bait with the weight starting on the top side of the bait, then turn the entire unit so the weight is now on the bottom of the jerk bait. Now, the nose section is your line tie section and the weight is along the under belly of the jerk bait. Now you just need to bend the jerk bait and insert the back end into the bottom back end of the bait, making sure you adjust for the bend and placement of the rig as so your jerk bait is not bending to one side (unless desired), which would be similar to texas rigging... Done... and you can even add a treble hook at the split ring if desired...

hahaha...yeah, not very easy to follow now that I read it again...but it made total sense when I was typing it out...LOL...
I pictured it as soon as I seen the rig... now, that's not saying that it's totally correct but is how I invision it to work...
I'm sure someone at some time will be able to post an actual picture of this all rigged up...
