Hey Rick,
The guy wasn't man enough to take his lumps at losing; why on earth would you think he would have been man enough to go before all of us at the US Open awards assembly. That would have been pretty ugly IMHO. Besides, I'm sure a lawyer would have advised against it.

To JB RICK and others first off Mike was overwhelmed with grief for being discovered so he more than likely wasn't concerned with others. We can only imagine what was going through he's head but I'm willing to say it probably was "I am so f..ked think I'll slit my throat". I never thought about why, who cares the rest of us or most I should say would never directly have a cheat plan. Who the heck is gonna throw back a kicker if you hooked it outside the mouth on a spook. That in my mind is a legal catch because the action of the bait provoked a response and unknowingly you reeled it in. Definitely not the same as snagging a bed fish!!!! There are different levels of cheating for instance the guy that goes in a bank blows away 10 people and empties the tellers draws should receive a greater penalty than a pc hack that writes a program to steal the extra pennies left over from banks programing fault.Yes, their both guilty but one is much more callous. In our cheating world Mike fired his bullets at 100+ people and missed by being an imperfect shooter with only rubber bullets not lead. So yes he is F...ed but not as much as some of us would like to see. He probably won't go to prison but he will live in the prison inside his head forever. Can you just imagine his dreams!!!

I said " make us cheat", because most of us don't come from that place, where greed overpowers our better judgement and values.

The other sad thing is, I hate to think, but his states say out of a 441 fish weighed in, he has brought 126 dead fish to the scales, it looks like to me that he has been doing this for awhile. That # is stagering.

That has to be a mistake, a typo.
I've weighed in fish for him and Zank over the last three or four years, seven events per year, and can't remember any dead fish.
There may have been one or two, but, at 5 fish per tourney, 40 fish a year, ten dead fish, more than one a tourney would have been a lot of dead fish, and would have stood out like a sore thumb.
One of our staff members usually took home the dead fish and ate them, so we would have found out pretty quickly if there were weights, or anything else, stuck in a dead fish.
