No but he is a life long Union guy.

Never will be able to figure out how people with the same views ( except the rascist part) could be so far apart party wise :?

To bad Colin Powell hasn't got an account here, we'd have one more Barrack Vote. He endorsed him today. Now Bill K, do you still believe he's a Muslim? ;-)

He has been longtime friends with McCain, but feels wew need a new generation of politicians and he said Sarah Palin holds no qualifications to be president.

It’s a crying shame that Colin Powell chose race over Country! Beside he would be a NO Body if it were not for Norm Schwartzkoff.

I was somewhat suprised on Powells sign off . Actually destresses me . Not that he didnt approve McCain ,but that he feels that "O" is so much better than anyone . I honestly feel that there are more qualified to do what is right ,than what there is in the house ,senate combined . How hard is doing the "correct " thing ?(Correct being to please the most) Being a lawyer ,somehow I doubt O has the understanding of what it is to do as much as the majority wants (that is what Democracy is-majority rules) rather to do more for his "many 200.00 per individual donators) ie ,his backing . Time will tell not if ,but when we see how much of the worries people are concerned about become issues .

To think that I once said if Colin Powell ran for president I would vote for him.

I don't look at this as a brother thing, but more of a wishy washy thing with Powell.

I've always had respect for Colin Powell. He was the first one to see the the Cheney and Bush administration had duped the American Public and pulled out when their political Dogma overrode their intelligence.

He's an intelligent person who recognizes intelligents and can see that Barrack Obama and Joe Biden are intellectually superior in their outlook that McCain/Palin. Like he said. "The Republicans have just gone to far right.

I must have talked to ten people today that said Powell sealed the deal for them.

You amaze me man. This basically vindicates him. It says throughout he was skeptical. The papers and sources were given to him and drafted by the white house. It says, he was not told this and not told that. He asked were verification and was given it. This vcideo was pro-Powell. You don't even listen to your own sh*t.

He's a soldier. He follows orders. Right from the guy you voted twice for.

McCain/ Palin sound m ore like dumb and dumber to me. She couldn't even memorize enough lines to take part in SNL. I'd love to hear more interviews of her.

Here are the three qualifications as stated in the Constitution.
1) Be a Natural Born citizen (or a Citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution)
2) Be 35 years of age or older
3) Be a resident for at least 14 years

Why I am voting for him is another story. He has a political background since 1997 serving three terms in the Illinois state legislature. He has graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School. He was President of the Harvard Law Review and he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004.

He went through 26 debates with the best the democrats could throw at him and won, even acing out the Clintons (Who I was hoping would win)

I can see his intelligence as easily as I could see George Bushes and John Kerry's stupidity. I like his line of thinking. I think we need to get intelligent people with open minds back in the Whitehouse.

I wanted McCain to win in 2000 and saw what the Bush team did to him. I thought he would have made a good president at that point. I thought the country needed a moderate. Since then I've grown to see him a a nasty old codger who will sacrifice his morals and do anything he can to win. Including selecting a complete ******** idiot from AK who can't field simple questions from reporters as his Vice President. That sealed the deal for me. I was in shock. Now they've actually hidden her away from the media.

Plus he'll probably not make it through his first term. That will leave Miss Vacant head in charge of our great nation at the time we need the strongest leader we ever had.

Now tell me why you want McCain.
