Re: oniel forebay
been out to the forebay three out of the last four weekends and its been crazy!! each trip we've landed atleast fifty schoolies with a few descent ones mixed in. most are between twenty to twenty five inches with the largest going just over ten pounds. We usually get one good one every trip, but regardless its a damn good time!! We went out sat and braved the twenty to thirty mph winds and still got into them without being able to chase the fish busting on top.
just get out and start chucking small paddletails and spooks till you find a school and try to stay with em as long as you can!!!

Re: oniel forebay
thanks leighton, i was going to go last weekend but it was way to windy, did you put your boat in the water in that wind ? spooks are what i use alot......i have a boat but it is a pontoon boat and the wind makes it hard to handle......
Re: oniel forebay
Yeah we went out on the water. We sat in the parking lot for about a half hour debating on going out of going home cause of the wind but we decided to brave it. Turned out to be a good choice! i can see how a pontoon boat can be a little rough out there though. It was definitely rough out there though, sunday when i got up my legs were sore from balancing in those rollers that were out there!!
Like i said last time just start covering water as fast as you can, and keep your eyes open for fish busting and hall a@@ when you see them. They will still be there even after they stop. Sat we even pulled one of the schools with us for almost a mile by having the school follow every fish we caught. When you get into them like that its every cast, and just get back out there as soon as you can!!!! Hope that helps. Good Luck!
